Akron Cooperative Farms provides garden plots for gardeners of all skill levels and backgrounds. Due to high demand, we have a waiting list for the 2025 growing season. As we explore opportunities to expand, we hope to offer additional plots in the future.

Garden Plot Quick Facts

We have several plot sizes available for urban farmers:

  • Full plots: 20 x 20 feet
  • Half plots: 10 x 20 feet
  • Raised beds: 4 x 8 feet

There is a nominal fee for leasing a plot each season, which covers the use of the plot from May through October. Leasing a plot also gives you priority access for the following season.

Garden Plot Lease Includes:

  • Tilling of soil before the growing season
  • Access to free seeds
  • Use of garden tools, buckets, and wheelbarrows
  • Water access
  • Gardening assistance and coaching
  • Invitations to farm events, such as community meals and social gatherings
